Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to determining and refining design transfer requirements, including manufacturing processes, test protocols, and supporting software tools.
- Design, develop, implement, test, document and deploy software solutions to support manufacturing.
- Ensure that assigned manufacturing processes and tools adhere to Quality and Regulatory requirements.
- Maintain existing manufacturing software tools and databases.
- Optimize manufacturing software tools and processes for efficiency and product quality.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and determine appropriated courses of action (i.e. Keep Production Going)
- Understand the nature of the company’s business and corporate objectives and apply to assignments.
Skills:
Required:
- Competency in at least one high level OO language (preferably Java).
- Competency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Groovy, etc.).
- Competency using revision control systems (CVS, SVN).
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, with emphasis on hands-on experience.
- Good trouble-shooting ability, focused on root-cause determination.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and task-switch effectively.
- Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
- Innovative, self-reliant, team player, trouble shooter.
Desired:
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Web programming (PHP, CSS, HTML, etc.).
- Experience with medical device or safety-critical systems manufacturing.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing software desirable, but not required.
