Time frame to fill this position is as soon as possible.
Write code for industrial computing equipment plus coding for PLC logic controllers. This requires software programming in Assembly, C, C++ and PLC's.
Process REA's, write ECN's for new or obsolete parts, schematics and BOM's for new and/or existing equipment.
Travel as required to evaluate projects, install and troubleshoot engineering modifications.
Maintain all schematics of company products, updating or modifying for product change or customer specials.
Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, counters and pulse generators to analyze problems, debug a design flaw or diagnose a machine fault.
Develop documentation for the development, design or modification of products.
Work with Digital and Analog logic to design electronic circuits.
Work with AC motors/drives and AC/DC servos to be able to program and tune a servo system.
Breadboard test and debug electronic circuitry from existing and new designs to verify functionality of the design.
Skills & Proficiencies
Knowledge of Embedded Software, Process Control, C, C++, PLC programming or other high level programming languages.
Must have familiarity with Digital and Analog Circuits AC/DC motors and Drive technology.
Must be able to use test equipment.
Working knowledge of Autocad Electrical is helpful.
Have the ability to take an idea or concept from a clean paper design through production.
Three to seven years of controls engineering experience, focused on NPD. Experience designing production equipment used in high speed applications such as: bottling, dairy or food processing, packaging or similar is of special interest.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
