Due to growth, we are seeking and Engineering Team Leader who will be responsible for the training, skills development, job performance, and process improvement of approximately 6-10 Engineers and/or Designers. The Team Leader will be responsible for development and prioritization of new products through the process, coordinating 1st builds with manufacturing, approving requisitions and entering PO’s for engineering products. The leaders will also be responsible for working with manufacturing leads and manufacturing engineers, Sourcing, cost reduction teams and participating in performance appraisals and reviews.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design of components and systems to provide maximum customer value and product function, including improved economy, safety of operation, and operational performance, at optimum costs.
  • Lead design, building, modification, and testing of products, utilizing CATIA and SolidWorks.
  • Conduct experiments and tests on new and existing designs and equipment to obtain data on function/performance of equipment.
  • Coordinate with OEM’s to design and test products that meet and/or exceed their requirements.
  • Work with Sales team to determine new product specifications.
  • Work with management to develop cost/margin analysis for new products.
  • Direct validation activities on components and equipment under designated conditions to ensure operational performance meets design specifications.
  • Work with customers to identify needs and implement these requirements into new product design.
Background Profile:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Engineering or Design related field
  • Minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience
  • Must be proficient in managing, organizing, and maintaining large quantities of data
  • Automotive or Aerospace background preferred.
