This opportunity is for an Industrial Designer on site at our client. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will work within the team to create interactive 3D applications that are intuitive and user friendly so that the customer can use the application without training. Develop efficient workflows using available software or by researching and applying new software and scripting. Collaborate and establish a rapport with external teams such as engineering and marketing to ensure successful deliverables.
 
Duties:
  • Create interactive 3D applications with an emphasis on schedule, quality and creativity that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Import and convert CAD models into optimized and efficiently running low-poly models for fast interactive user movements and playback on low-end workstations.
  • Use knowledge of hardware specifications to quantitatively determine application specifications to achieve the acceptable application performance as measured by the user experience.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of various types of models and properly select the appropriate type to use based on each project scenario.
  • Apply and create scripting to automate model conversion and other elements of the 3D applications.
  • Optimize and maintain 3D models that are used for computer graphics visualization and support model modifications as required.
  • Collaborate with our artists to develop user interfaces that are intuitive to the end user.
  • Support low poly model builds as required.
  • Support and maintain libraries containing models, materials, studios, etc.
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the company. Conduct duties consistent with the Company’s mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Support and grow our team’s portfolio content that showcases and promotes our capability.
