Will work for Carlsbad, California manufacturer leading a 60 person (four direct supervisors), non union, metal fabrication shop. Will manage all planning, scheduling and coordinating of products through the complete production cycle for the metal fab, machining, welding and painting operations.
Will coordinate production and special plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Will work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Lead fabrication site personnel, management and/or individual contributors in the resolution of issues preventing the on-time delivery of quality products as per commitment.
Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in planning, coordination and scheduling production operations required. Project management and prior supervisory experience required. Knowledge of fabrication sites' operational details, key deliverables and metrics. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques is a plus. Excellent PC/Excel skills.
