This opportunity is for a Manufacturing Engineer for our client in the Quad Cities area. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will plan, coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process of limited scope. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel, including contractors. Work plans and decisions are typically made within the established guidelines and reviewed by others.
Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigate, gather and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks. Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope. Identify and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope. Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions. Develop and implement plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the company Production System. Design operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation. Participate in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency. Implement new manufacturing processes and technology. Modify existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans. Create routings, order tools, modify reroutes and work in SAP environment. Work with design engineering and Product Delivery Process (PDP) for solutions to make parts with consistent process capability, placing the correct tooling paired to the right machine tool. Work closely with current product engineers, PDP manufacturing engineering, operations, quality services, and the wage work force. Participate in the Continuous Improvement (CI) Grow process which drives quality, ergonomic, and safety projects. Participate in our QIT meetings and will work closely with wage quality coordinator. Plan out machine modernization upgrades in order to keep our equipment up to industry safety standards.

· Understanding of SERA or safety measurement.
· Knowledge of the Continuous Improvement process.
· Strong understanding of NCCA (corrective action), and process capability studies.
· Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
· Working knowledge of forming, tooling, punch and laser operations.
· Working knowledge of Pro/E (for importing to Radan program and for measuring geometry), AutoCAD, FactoryCAD, VisMockup, Bend programming (Radan),
· Understanding of press work processes, shearing, roll forming, weld fixture design and machining operations.
