Plant Engineer/ Maintenance Manager – Plastics

Your role in the organization:
As the Plant Engineer you will be the Subject Matter Expert for maintaining and optimizing process equipment and be the lead in cultivating a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement culture. This role is a hybrid of improving OEE through maintenance of equipment, a project manager, and a CI engineer and you will be an integral part of coordinating cross functional teams and training on the floor. This is a very impactful role, we need an expert in identifying and implementing proven solutions that have maximized productivity, reduce downtime, cut costs, as well as a
leader who can be hands on with training, driving change, and a Continuous Improvement culture
. This role will report to the Plant Manager of a 130 person facility.
To be successful in this role:
Technical degree in Engineering or similar – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.
Plastics manufacturing experience ideal
2+ years in a manufacturing environment, hands on in maintenance and equipment reliability
1+ years in using LEAN Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing environment – Green Belt or higher is a plus
Experience in hands on implementation, bring part of a culture change is a plus
Location – This position will be based in Northern California, the greater San Francisco and Sacramento CA area. Sacramento is the state capital and is a beautiful area along the Sacramento River that allows for great outdoor activities like boating and swimming. It is local to several national forest for hiking and camping. San Francisco is just across the way and is a beautiful area along the Pacific Ocean that is a great placed to take the family in the spring and summer time. With the Golden State Bridge and beautiful mountains and forests all around, it is a very nice place to live.
