As part of the Senior Management Team, the Plant Manager will have responsibility for all production employees and tackle four primary challenges:
  • Ensure profitable plant productivity, cycle time and cost goals are achieved through effective production scheduling and utilization of labor and materials, rigorous quality control, and disciplined root cause analysis.
  • Lead, manage, and develop production employees to ensure that the necessary capabilities and culture exist to maintain a sustainable, effective operation.
  • Think strategically to improve processes and proactively seek to implement changes to optimize performance levels.
  • Maintain an organized work environment that ensures the safety of all employees.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a Production/Plant Management/ supervisory role leading a manufacturing site.
    1. Experience working in a continuous production environment
    2. Direct experience with production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality functions in a plant environment.
    3. Demonstrated leadership in managing employee safety and environmental compliance.
    4. Experience and success with process improvements including utilizing continuous process disciplines such as Lean Manufacturing (or Lean SS). Lean Certification a Plus.
    5. Proven collaborative and participative management skills, including building strong teams.
    6. Success in managing asset care/ reliability and demonstrated ability to prioritize and set direction.
  2. Educational Credentials: A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent from a four-year college or certificate program, required.
  3. Industry Experience: Candidates must have glass fabrication industry experience.
