We’re looking for a driven Process Engineer who is ready for a role that offers ownership for the production processes within a successful and growing manufacturing facility with more than 250 non-union employees. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager, and will be responsible for improving key process metrics using Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma best practices.
Manage and complete projects that yield ongoing improvements to key metrics and increased ROI.
Provide daily production support and work with cross-functional teams to respond to customer issues.
Develop product and process reports, and review and update production process documentation.
Manage equipment acquisition and installation projects and provide training for new production processes and equipment.
Assist with troubleshooting for complex equipment issues.
Develop production processes for new products.
4-year degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial).
2+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering in a production environment.
Quantifiable accomplishments in continuous improvement initiatives, product launches, capital equipment purchases, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Data driven mindset in identifying and prioritizing opportunities and issues, and a record of solving challenging problems.
Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous experience with an ERP system is preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Energetic and self-driven professional, with a high degree of customer focus.
Straightforward with high integrity.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally. Ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
Team player/consensus builder who can work well in a collaborative, cross-functional organization.
