Responsible for leading a cross-functional team that oversees the production process, safety, quality, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives and manpower scheduling for a $30M or greater business unit.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a three-shift “focused team” that includes salaried and hourly associates from quality, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, general supervision and production.
Drive quality, safety and productivity to achieve established unit business objectives.
Maintain positive employee relations.
Utilize problem-solving methods to effectively identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
Allocate production and support resources appropriately to achieve daily production schedules.
Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to achieve operational excellence.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
Knowledge of TS16949 standards and how they apply to the manufacturing environment.
Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to supervise in a team environment.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast pace environment.
