  • Develop and utilize a system to evaluate local vendor quotations with the appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Design, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
  • Conduct and maintain good communication with all suppliers to ensure they provide the highest quality products and services while maintaining the highest code of ethics.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices.
  • Review and resolve vendor claims for conformance to company policy.
  • Prepare and review bids and proposals for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
  • Professional communication with all levels within facility, including line employees, supervisors, managers, and executives.
  • Work closely with the Director of Purchasing Administration to ensure implementation and management of all National Account Suppliers. 
  • Establish per unit standards and/or costs which ensure proper costs for the plant budget and quoting process.
  • Development and maintenance of the packaging specifications system which ensures the final product is properly packaged
  • Works with customers regarding packaging to ensure cost, size, weight quantity and proper identification requirements are met.
The Purchasing Manager position reports directly to the Director of Purchasing Administration. 
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in any related business field. Purchasing related certifications are a plus. 
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
