SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER

Product Design
• Full responsibility for CAD design for products, processes, plant
layouts, plant fixtures, etc.
• Full responsibility for engineering drawing and engineering change
management, including both internal and customer/supplier drawings
• Perform engineering calculations necessary to support ongoing
manufacturing of products (e.g., wind loading on glass, glass strength
calculations, electrical calculations for heated glass products, etc.)
• Provide support and/or lead role on the specification and selection of
raw materials for various products
• Support Material Management personnel with the selection and
qualification of vendors to support new products and/or processes

Product Development
• Assume the lead role (i.e., project manager) on all new product
development work, from concept-to-prototype-to-production
• Develop and implement a more formalized program for guiding new product
development initiatives at Thermoseal

Manufacturing Engineering
• Provide CAD support and manufacturing engineering support to Director of
Operations for new manufacturing technology initiatives, new equipment
layout and start up, etc.
• Lead and/or assist in the identification of new manufacturing
technologies for assisting the company to achieve its More, Better, Faster,
Cheaper goals
• Assist Manufacturing Management in improving the efficiency and
effectiveness of the current operations

MIS
• Lead all efforts regarding CAD systems and support
• Assume a leadership role from a management perspective regarding the
functioning and efficacy of all our internal systems, including evaluation
of hardware and software, evaluation of vendor support, future
requirements, new business, engineering or manufacturing software, leading
new development work that may be required on existing systems, etc.
