Sr. Mechanical Engineer – USA/Poland

International travel is required with extended stay in Poland (country).  Minimum stays of 2-4 months in Poland is required and/or as needed.  Position will be a dedicate resource for the Poland facility and required to support and assist remotely when in the USA.  Responsible for developing solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes, machining and/or fabrication and tooling.  Support new programs by developing new processes and assisting with designing of tooling and machinery and development of production controls.  Responsible in assisting with supervising day to day programming activities as requested by the Engineering Department and Manufacturing Service Managers.  Lead products through the NPI “new product introduction" process maintaining quality and on-time delivery. 


Ability to prepare and maintain multi-axis Swiss lathes and CNC Machine tools such as mills and grinders using software such a PartsMaker and Mastercam.

Ability to modify Post Processors to produce programs unedited from the software to machine following procedural guidelines.

Develop manufacturing processes for new products and other in-house applications (ie gages, tooling, and fixture process flow maps from customer prints.

Design or help in the design of jigs, tools, fixtures, and special equipment for CNC applications

Identify excessive cost, develop methods for cost reduction, and implement new cost reduction methods

Assist Quality Engineers and operators with the validation of new or revised programs and processes

Maintain the integrity of CNC Programs and the DNC file system

Communicate and work effectively with manufacturing and quality teams

Assist systems designers, hardware & software specialist with the introduction of new technologies and computer advancements into the Manufacturing Processes

Maintain and enforce compliance of directory structure

Determine training needs and cross train employees

Effectively and proactively do continuous improvement on existing programs

Manage multiple project simultaneously

Flexible to travel on short notice


Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

5 years of CNC Programming experience required

Partsmaker or Mastercam experience required

Medical Device or Aerospace industry experience required

Working knowledge of cutting stainless steel, titanium, or cobalt chrome experience
