Seeking a driven Value Stream Leader to provide leadership and supervision for assigned plant value streams and related team members, at the manufacturing headquarters for a large division of a fortune 250 company.  The Value Stream Leader partners with all areas of the company to reduce lead times, optimize inventory and reduce operating costs to ensure profitable growth for the division. This highly visible role is a fast track for future growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote safe and clean working conditions fostering team member engagement
  • Lead the plant value stream(s) day to day operations and continuous improvements
  • Create continuous product flow, utilize pull systems to level the workload between team members and work cells
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain organization on inventory planning and management
  • Partner with Quality organization to drive built in quality with the goal of getting quality right the first time
  • Team member assessment, coaching and development including natural High-Performance work teams
  • Coordinate with off-shift supervision and team members to ensure priorities are maintained during all times
  • Provide effective cross training for value stream associates and backups from other value streams to assure the continuous smooth running of the value stream
  • Work with Operations & Division leadership to develop future state value stream map and manage the plans to achieve it as documented in the Value Steam Tracking Center
  • Maintain team improvement boards including review and analysis of safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics
  • Responsible for developing and leading associates, employment decisions and performance assessments of an assigned plant value stream(s).

Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in related field and 3+ years’ supervisory or management experience required
  • Ability and experience reading and interpreting Engineering specifications and blueprints
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills including leading High-Performance Teams
  • Experience with LEAN techniques and leading LEAN events; certification a plus
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems
