This position oversees a team of 6 engineers and 6 R&D personnel.
Seeking a real hands on candidate with an Engineering background.
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Experience REQUIRED.
Experience with 12V DC systems and vehicle structural design REQUIRED.
Be prepared to launch 2-3 new products this year.
This company is a world-class manufacturer of large recreational vehicles and is searching for an experienced, proactive professional to join our team as Engineering Manager.
Our company is currently enjoying increasing sales as a result of an effective new product strategy and very close working relationships with a great dealer network. Below are some key competencies that will position this person well for success:
o Experience in leading effective new model development teams with proven results in high quality consumer products, to include innovation creation and developing heart of the customer value.
o Demonstrated understanding of the critical nature of setting milestones and managing a products development from concept drawing through product validation and production integration.
o Ability to manage, inspire, and develop our team of designers, engineers, draftsmen, prototyping (R&D) team, and tooling staff.
o Strong mechanical engineering and related technical experience will be a key asset for this person.
o Demonstrated design for manufacturing principles as they pertain to developing high end products that need to be build consistently and of high quality by our manufacturing staff.
o Participation in setting and executing company-wide strategy, including product strategy and manufacturing operational improvement.
o Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
o Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues in a timely manner by using judgment that is consistent with the companies standards, practices and policies.
o Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
The position will have responsibility for leading projects in design, engineering, prototyping and tooling, and production implementation of 3-4 new models per year. We are searching for someone who can nurture and portray the many competencies that our team has developed over forty years, but also one who will not rest on these past successes alone. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree or higher in engineering, vehicle architecture, design, or a related field. Business education is also desired.
This position will be located at our primary office in small town, Central Midwest of the USA.
