Job Description
HVAC Controls Service Technician

Commission, diagnosis, retrofit, repair of commercial HVAC systems.
Knowledge of air condidtioning theory, direct digital control systems, electronics, airflow, hydronics, mechanical layouts, refrigeration theory and control techniques.

Essential Functions:

Service products and equipment on assigned projects
Testing on control systems, program downloads, start up and service on projects
Interpret blueprints, engineering and product specifications, diagnosing and repairing units, working with control drawings to mount, assemble, test and program
Analyze, diagnose, and repair direct digital control systems
Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications as needed
Prepare for on-site installation and repairs and coordinate on-site work
Maintain assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all related activity
Provide training and follow-up training at customer site
Provide sales leads to appropriate office personnel
Document work on each job and maintain files

Experience / Education

Associates degree or equivalent. Five years minimum experience in controls and HVAC systems.
