Job Description
BSME a must, advanced degree a plus. 8 or more yrs in design of electro-mechanical components, specifically plastic injection molded parts, machined components,stampings,powder metal components,switches,relays,motors or similiar mechanisms. Understanding of Materials and their application in a given design. Practical knowledge of GD&T, Ability to conduct FEA Analysis using Comsol/Ansys/Abaqus/Simula or Cosmos software, ability to interpret results and communicate results to other engrs effectively. Must have exp with 3D Cad Modeling. Will manage other engineers in group but must also be willing to rollup their sleeves and help out, this is a handson postion. Knowledge of ISO,Ul, standards preferred. Support the creation of bill of materials and engineering changes.Any knowledge of patent submission would be a plus. This is a small ($35-38 Million dollar) public corp. Has done well in a down economy.
