Job Description
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Technical Lead) to generate designs of outdoor cabinet solutions (enclosures) for outdoor compliant solutions for the Wireless, Wireline and Cable/MSO industries. Must be very knowledgeable in power, battery and thermal technologies and able to incorporate these concepts into robust designs that meet customer performance requirements. This Lead Engineer will be responsible to ensure that designs meet customer performance and UL compliance integrity and aesthetic requirements. Must have solid background in thermodynamics, enclosure construction, electronics packaging, sheet metal processes, machining, plastic molding, HVAC systems, compliance standards including UL, CSA, NEMA, NEBS. Strong written and verbal skills. Working knowledge of material costing, part cost estimation, product pricing. Proficiency with MS Office, Solidworks and ERP/MRP systems. Will oversee CAD design and must be comfortable interfacing with manufacturing floor processes.
