Project Manager/Sr Project Manager (Solar)
Job Summary:
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Manages projects to contractual requirements utilizing appropriate resources. Responsible for completing projects under or on-budget and on-schedule. Ability to lead a project team. Assembles submittal packages for projects using the latest electronic software packages, such as Autocad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Excel, etc. to provide a professional submittal for Engineers to review and for installation personnel to follow in the field for installation. Confers with engineers or drafters to interpret design concepts, determine nature and type of required detailed working drawings, and coordinate work with others. Using independent judgment, reviews design arrangements and sequence of operations of mechanical equipment. Wiring diagrams, piping diagrams and equipment diagrams shall be provided for review.
Project Engineer/Sr Project Engineer (Solar)
Job Summary
This individual will be responsible for managing the technical evaluation and diligence for new opportunities and the eventual design and permitting of (+500 kW) solar electric systems. The position will provide support to the Business Development department and Construction department.
The Project Engineer is responsible for identifying the most appropriate technical and material solutions or other variables to optimize the system proposals. Deliverables such as equipment specifications, concept design drawings, site evaluations, interconnection and single line diagrams, and other supporting detail as required will be managed by this position. This position will also work with internal resources, sub-contracting Professional Engineers, the Customer, and local regulatory entities to create a design that meets the requirements of all stake holders. The Project Engineer is also responsible for preparing and supporting construction crews for system installation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree is business related field (e.g. engineering, construction management) or equivalent education and work experience
- 3-5 years work experience, minimum 2 years experience in solar industry
- Requires substantial time at various project locations
- Requires frequent (over 25% at times) overnight travel, may include auto, air, rail travel
